Perplexed

Years swiftly come and go
But not my love for you.
It lingers in my heart
Sweeter than any tart.

Quite don’t know what to say,
When you’re just steps away…
My eyes are paralyzed
My mind is
mesmerized.

A sight of you makes me sworn
Makes me feel like a moron.
Don’t you know it’s killing me?
When you won’t glance my way?

It’s simple but complicated
I feel often frustrated
And I’m only asking why,
Do I have to forget and cry?

But this weakness is Destined to betray me I suspect I let go of my Idealistic expectations And open my eyes And my heart To a new light Some shaft of light Will always be Bound to pin me down Until I realize The sudden pain Of knowing that My weakness Has struck me again Reality comes too Strong, it makes me sick. A tremendous gravitational pull, designed for my legs exclusively. The staccato rhythm of my heart will soon succumb. Until waves of emotion gradually calm down. Silent again bent knees.
